I admit. Before learning about SEO programs and site optimization field, I was of the opinion that Google was great. I Used Google to look for anything from human beings, to visuals, to news stories to strange gadgets and blindly trusted the results. Then I heard about SEO programs and a whole business centered on promoting sites, and my convictions changed. But even before that, having done some introspective analysis, I got a feeling that search engines, Google included, know far from everything, and share with the web community a tiny portion of what they know.

My Google experiences soon convinced me that Flikr is a better image search source, that with the assistance of Digg I can access quality news coverage without having to rummage through Google search findings (rummaging seems more fitting than Google search), and people search is best handled by Facebook. It seems like every time I search for odd objects on Google, the results are almost always inaccurate, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO programs and other SEO related topics on Google and you are almost ready to lose your sanity. I mean, come on, what’s the connection between SEO products and online education websites or Web casinos? Fortunately, in my disappointment.

Do they deserve to be there and whose fault is it, Google or webmasters using SEO applications. The ethical quandary is immense. In this respect, I remain an unyielding believer in SEO apps and non-paid search. If it was all about the cash, the corporate entities would squish me before I knew it. And there are up to one thousand corporations on the Fortune roll! But here is another thing that irritates me and other backlink checker users, I am confident. There are individuals who purchase SEO apps and use them to sell shoeson employment sites and the like. What we are given is junk that not only lives on the net but is also well indexed by search engines.

What is the public reaction to this? They Google SEO software reviews and will instead find junk search findings. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet democracy”. Does this imply that SEO application and service industry is harmful? Not necessarily.

The unethical users of SEO programs need to stop corrupting the Web but it’s like asking hackers to stop hacking. The bad side about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be seen on the Internet that is offered to the no-name person like myself. For now we just have to be patient with them. We can only wish that Google will put more effort into spotting the schemers abusing SEO products, and if Google doesn’t, the future Google will.
